PURPOSE:To select an optional phase angle with a double phase modulating/ demodulating circuit, by changing the electric length of a strip line. CONSTITUTION:When the potential of an input terminal 3 is higher or lower than that of an input terminal 4, the ultra-high frequency signals emerging at an output terminal 2 have phases opposite to each other since these signals pass through an opposite phase branching circuit consisting of a strip line 6 of lambda/2 electric length and a slot line 7 crossing the line 6 at the center position and on the othe side. Furthermore the signals passes or not through a strip line 14 of an electric length (x), and therefore a phase difference is produced in relation to the electricity since the passage/nonpassage state is occussed. Thus the phase can be changed for the signal of the terminal 2 by changing the polarity of potential difference of a modulated signal which is applied to the terminal 4. Then the double phase modulation is carried out with balanced driving. That is, an optional phase angle pi-2pi/lambda.X [rad] is obtained in response to the electric length (x) of the line 14. |
