Magnetic moving-coil transducers with Wiegand modules have the advantage that no auxiliary energy is required. However, in known moving-coil transducers with Wiegand modules the highest pulse repetition frequency that can be achieved is limited to approximately 10 kHz. This is caused by the remagnetisation processes in the Wiegand wire, which require a certain time. The solution according to the invention circumvents this difficulty by constructing the Wiegand module (5) from a plurality of individual elements (7) arranged next to one another in the direction of rotation of the impeller (1), and designing the teeth (6.1, 6.2) of the impeller (1) to be so wide that they cover a plurality of individual elements (7) of the module (5). The elements of the module are connected in series or parallel. After a tooth has passed through the transducer, the module transmits a chain of pulses. The maximum pulse repetition frequency can be increased with the aid of these measures by a factor of approximately 10 with respect to the known solution. <IMAGE>
