The ramp bridges the difference in height between two surfaces, e.g. a road surface and a pavement. It comprises a plate (1), on the underside of which are two parallel sleeves. Two such plates in line can be coupled together by bars inserted in the sleeves. There can be telescopic sleeve-type supports at one end of the plate, which can have lengthwise and/or transverse grooves. The ramp is partic. for use in conjunction with invalid chairs or perambulators.
