<p>The tobacco leaves handling device used in cigar mfg., includes a gauze covered spool in the track between a winding and unwinding spool, over the perforated surface of a vacuum box. The tobacco leaves are lifted at the moment when the vacuum box and take-off device move towards each other. The vacuum box achieves a tipping action when the unwinding spool, and spindle under the vacuum box, take up a position w.r.t. each other, so that during leaf removal a minimal stretch occurs in the belt.</p> |
