PURPOSE:To stabilize voltage in initial discharge stage and increase discharge capacity by adding short aluminum fibers to a positive electrode using graphite fluoride as a main active mass. CONSTITUTION:In a battery comprising a negative electrode using a light metal as an active mass, nonaqueous electrolyte prepared by dissolving an inorganic salt in an organic solvent, and a positive electrode using graphite fluoride as an active mass, fibrous alumnum is added in the positive electrode. By being used in fibrous shape, aluminum increases its surface area and effectively acts as a conductive mass and also increases chemical action with the positive active mass, and the positive electrode having increased molding strength is obtained by intertwinement of fibers. |
