Drive system for door closers, with a camshaft (10) which has between an upper disc (12) and a lower disc (13) two cams (14A) of oval cross-section located next to one another, and with two follow-up members (20A, 20B) which are loaded by springs (23) and each of which presses against the cams (14A, 14B) from one side. The cam shaft (10) and follow-up members (20A, 20B) are accommodated in a housing (40), the cam shaft projecting with a coupling pin (11) from the housing. The faces of the follow-up members bearing against the cams (14A, 14B) have a double arcuate shape, by means of which they bear against the two cams (14A, 14B) located one behind the other according to Figure 1. When the cam shaft (10) is rotated during the rotation of the door, the oval cams (14A, 14B) press the follow-up members to the side, and when the door is released the follow-up members press the cams back into the original position, so that the door closes. Only at an opening angle of the door of 90 DEG and 180 DEG is no rotating force exerted on the cam shaft by the follow-up members. <IMAGE>
