PURPOSE:To achieve cooling of liquid and unformalization of the quantity of said liquid, by a method wherein liquid pipes are communicated to each other or either one of steam or liquid pipes is communicated with a radiator on the other side in the case of both main shafts in which each of hollow chambers enclosing work liquid therein and a radiater device are connected to each other through a steam pipe and a liquid pipe between a bearing and a bearing block. CONSTITUTION:When a bearing block 4 shows a higher increased temperature than that of the other block 41, an evaporation volume, a steam pressure and a temperature of work liquid in a hollow chamber 7 at the block 4 in case of evaporation of the work liquid show higher values than those of the other block, so that a higher evaporating latent heat is taken to cool the block 4 more and thus to prevent the temperature of the block 4 from being increased higher than that of the other block. Hot evaporated steam in the hollow chamber 7 passes through a hot steam pipe 10 and flows into a radiater 81, then the liquid condensed there shows a higher temperature than that of liquid in the radiater 81 and flows into a hollow chamber 71 through a liquid pipe 121, so that the block 41 shows a higher increased temperature and a difference in increased temperatures between the bearing blocks is restricted to a lower value. Although the volume of liquid in the hollow chamber 71 increases under repetition of this operation, a part of the liquid returning to the hollow chamber 71 through a communication pipe 13 is caused to be returned to the hollow chamber 7 and each volume of both liquids is set to a desired value. |
