A coil former for electrical coils which is suitable for use in printed-circuit boards having a magnetic coil axis aligned horizontally with respect to the plane of the board, the winding space of which coil former is bounded by coil former flanges on which strips of solder tabs are integrally formed which are used as supports for contact connections for the connection of winding wires, at least one of the strips of solder tabs being split into individual elements (8, 14) which are at a distance from one another and are in each case used as supports of a contact connection, and the individual elements having notch-shaped wire guides which lead in the direction of the contact connection from the side surfaces of the individual elements facing away from the winding space. <IMAGE>
