PURPOSE:To perform undercut and peripheral machining simultaneously, quickly, and easily by operating the fourth cylinder to press the first cutter beneath a piston ring and also operating the fifth cylinder to press the second cutter to the periphery as soon as a motor is started. CONSTITUTION:A main shaft base 13 has a main shaft 15, which is rotatable and movable in an axial direction, and a piston ring holding surface 31 is formed at its tip. The second cylinder 63 is provided on the main shaft base 13, and a piston ring press member 69 is rotatably fitted to the tip of the piston 65 of the cylinder 63. The fourth cylinder 77 is provided on a mount and the fifth cylinder 97 is provided on the main shaft base 13, the piston 79 of the cylinder 77 holds the first cutter 71 for undercutting, and the piston 99 of the cylinder 97 holds the second cutter 91 for the peripheral machining of a piston ring 1. A motor is operated to rotate the main shaft 15, and a work is cut at a predetermined size with the first cutter 71 and the second cutter 91 simultaneously. |
