<p>The valve is provided with a movable slide valve (8) operable to open a first flow passage (21) between a supply duct (13), which connects a source of fluid under pressure with the valve, and a duct (14), which connects the valve itself with a utiliser, and a second flow passage (23) between this utilisation duct (14) and a discharge duct (15). - The slide valve (8) is in equilibrium between a resilient force generated by a spring (25) which acts on it and the force, in the opposite direction, generated by the fluid pressure in a chamber (28) which is supplied with fluid via a fixed thro throttle (31) and the discharge flow cross section from which is controlled by a valve member (33,34) operated by an electromagnet (35,36). The valve may control an automatic gearbox.
