A compound of the formula 1 is described, <IMAGE> in which R<1> is hydrogen, C1- to C8-alkyl, -alkenyl or alkynyl, each of which is branched or unbranched, or an alicyclic or aromatic hydrocarbon radical, substituted or unsubstituted, preferably benzyl or substituted benzyl, or a spacer which is suitable for linkage to proteins or to aminated matrices or is bound to a natural or synthetic support, and R<2>, R<3> and R<4> are hydrogen or alpha-L-fucopyranosyl, in which however at most one radical is alpha-L-fucopyranosyl, and a process for their preparation and their use for combating malaria. |
