METHOD OF FILLING HOLLOW FIBER WITH GEL

A method of efficiently filling the hollow of a hollow fiber with gel without requiring specific set-ups such as a pressure-proof device, making it possible to mass-produce such fibers on an industrial basis, comprising the steps of dipping a hollow fiber having dispersedly communication holes leading from the fiber surface to the hollow in a liquid having gel formation capability, then leaving the hollow fiber standing at room temperature so as to fill the hollow with the liquid through the communication holes, and gelatinizing the liquid.
