PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-sensitive recording material characterized by high coloring density, excellent stability and oil resistance, and no reduction in the image density with time, by forming a heat-sensitive color-forming layer from a specified zinc salicylate as a developing material and a leuco dye. CONSTITUTION:Materials (A), (B) and, if necessary, (C) are applied on a support such as paper at desirable component ratio of A:B:C=1-30:40-90:5-50 (wt.) in the form of, e.g., an aqueous solution, at a rate of 1-10g/m<2>. Thus an intended heat-sensitive recording material is obtained. (A) is a leuco dye, e.g. 3-(N-methyl- N-cyclohexylamino)-6-methyl-7-anilinofluoran, (B) is a developing material shown by the formula (wherein R is H, C1-4 alkyl or halogen; and n is 0-2), e.g. zinc 5-cumylsalicylate or zinc 5-benzylsalicylate, and (C) is a binder such as gelatin or hydroxyethylcellulose. |
