PURPOSE:To measure the distribution of a working force applied on a workpiece during the working thereof by detecting the voltage of current flowing through a conductors and a working fluid during the time. CONSTITUTION:With the rotation of a tool 4, a workpiece 1 is worked with a working fluid being fed to the working section. Here, when the working fluid contacts conductors 2, a potential difference develops on the interface of the conductors 2 and the working fluid depending on a chemical potential difference between the conductors 2 and the fluid, allowing current to flow between the conductors 2 and the fluid. Current flowing between the conductors 2 and the fluid is proportional to the level of the working force working on the conductors 2. Such a phenomenon occurs in each of the conductors 2. The distribution of the working force can be found by detecting respective voltages of the conductors 2 facing the end face of the tool 4. |
