发明名称 ULTRASONIC FLAW DETECTION OF INTERPENETRATION PIPE COUPLING
摘要 PURPOSE:To allow a highly accurate admission of ultrasonic wave to points on a line drawn thicknesswise by scanning a probe longitudinally oscillating it along the spiral transferred onto a mounting tube or a tube to be mounted. CONSTITUTION:The angle theta is set between the orthogonal line with a tangent line M and the pipe axis K at points P of a pipe interpenetration curve S in actual size and the curve S is developed to prepare a development elevation. Lines are drawn at an angle theta each to the line indicating the pipe axis in the development elevation and used to form spirals serving as scanning guide for longitudinal scanning of a probe on the surface of a mount pipe 1 being wrapped with the development elevation. Then, the probe is scanned longitudinally along these spirals while oscillating the direction of ultrasonic radiation thereof so that ultrasonic waves reach points on the line drawn thicknesswise containing one point of the pipe interpenetration curve S from the probe on the spirals. Thus, an ultrasonic inspection of flaws can be done for the interpenetration pipe coupling.
