A three-way valve assembly has a reciprocable valve plunger (42) movably controlled by a solenoid (24). The valve housing (14) has an elastomeric orifice member (51) seated therein, which orifice member controls flow of pressure fluid from a source. The valve plunger (42) has an enlarged nondeformable valve surface (46) thereon which engages a projecting end portion of the orifice member for sealingly closing off the orifice.
