Escape chute from aircraft

The chute extends for a great height between the aircraft exit and the ground, its surface being formed by a gas-filled supporting hose. The modules are mounted one behind the other on the chute surface (3) of the hose (1), each braking chamber (4) being on top of the throttling one (6), which is fixed to this surface. A non-return valve (11) connects the interior (5) of the braking chamber to that (12) of the throttling one, while a further such valve (8) connects the latter to the hose interior (2). On inflation, the throttling chamber is filled with gas via the hose. Ports (7) connect the throttling chambers to the hose, so that under load caused by a descending person gas escapes into the hose. On cessation of this load, the throttling chambers are suddenly refilled from the hose to prepare for the next person.
