The inner lower part of the strap (1) enclosing the foot (7) has a pressure pad (4) for the sole of the foot, and a pressure pad (5) applying pressure from above onto the toes (10). The extent to which the tendons are stretched can be varied by altering the height (8 ) of the pressure pads by pumping. The counter forces resulting from applying pressure are transferred painlessly to the foot over a padded surface (6) of suitable width.
