STEREOTAXIC APPARATUS FOR THE ELECTRIC COAGULATION OF THE GASSERIAN GANGLIONS

The apparatus for electrocoagulation of the Gasserian ganglions or the like is characterised by the combination of a fixed frame bearing adjustable means for immobilising the head of the patient in a position such that the plane containing the target point is known; a movable frame mounted rotatably on the said fixed frame and bearing a curved slide; and an electrode support which can be displaced along the said slide, the arrangement being such that any displacement of the electrode support is effected at the surface of a sphere centred on the said target point.
