PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic receptor high in sensitivity, small in residual potential, superior in environment resistance, and enhanceable in panchromatic sensitivity, by adding Sb to the upper part layer of a photosensitive layer made mainly of Se-Te alloy laminated on a conductive substrate. CONSTITUTION:A layer 3 contg. Sb is formed in the upper part of the photosensitive layer 2 composed mainly of Se-Te alloy laminated on the conductive substrate 1, such as aluminum plate. As a result, Te is contained continuously from the bottom of the layer 2 to the top of the layer 3, so trouble of electric characteristics scarcely happens, and the addition of Sb protects the photoreceptor from various kinds of stresses applied to the surface, and it can control crystallization and occurrence of scratches or the like. The obtained photoreceptor is high in sensitivity and small in residual potential, superior in environment resistance, and capable of obtaining panchromaticity extended to the longer wavelengths in the photosensitivity range by the proportion of Te. |
