PURPOSE:To execute a tension test for a test piece continuously by allowing continuous loading and unloading of a number of test pieces the same in the size. CONSTITUTION:To replenish a test piece 4, a pin 7 is turned with a bevel gear 6 to lift an upper grip 2. Then, a test piece 4 stored in a rack 8 is moved horizontally by turning a pinion 9 and dropped into a recess of the upper grip 2 having it overhung. The test piece 4 overhung on the upper grip 2 is lowered turning the pin 7 and set with the other end thereof placed into the recess of a lower grip 3. After the setting, the test piece 4 is tested and broken. The lower half of the test piece 4 broken onto two separates and falls from the lower grip 3. On the other hand, the upper half thereof slips out of the upper grip 2 due to impact of the breakage. When it is left, the upper grip 2 is turned to the opposite side to drop it. Thus, after both the grips 2 and 3 are emptied, the subsequent test piece 4 is set and tested continuously. |
