A terrestrial localization plant including a plurality of fixpoints, which are marked and defined principally exclusively by means f subterranean markers of the type which is refindable with good accuracy by means of a movable search detector, the markers being arranged successively lane- or chainwise generally spaced horizontally from such objects or tracks which are relatable to the marker lane or chain by recorded coordinate measurements relative the respective nearby marker lane sections between consecutive fixpoints. The fixpoints are easy to localized based on measurements of low accuracy i.e. with the use of simple instruments, while the measurements in the "local coordinate systems" as based on said marker lane sections may show the required high accuracy and still require simple instruments only, e.g. ordinary measuring tapes. Also various auxiliaries are disclosed. |
