PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for compensating nonlinear distortion produced in an amplifier of a transmission system, without using a storage table to store a compensation coefficient compensating the nonlinear distortion component in a communication equipment of a ratio communication system SOLUTION: A power of a transmission orthogonal base-band signal, obtained by a power calculation section 102 is used to calculate nonlinear distortion compensation data at a compensation coefficient calculation section 104 by means of an approximate equation, a nonlinear distortion compensation section 106 uses the data to conduct nonlinear distortion compensation, a coefficient update section 124 updates the coefficient of he approximate equation with a signal demodulating a modulation output and a transmission orthogonal base- band signal, so as to compensate the nonlinear distortion produced in an amplifier of a transmission system without using a storage table so that a nonlinear distortion compensation device having a large distortion reduction effect is obtained. |
