The parking provision is constructed from a concrete and steel closed trough with several entrances and exits which issue onto a traffic section of adequate dimensions crossways to the canal or park. The trough is installed underground by means of local dam wall constructions that quay walls, paving, planting areas and works of art are not affected or damaged. The trough is provided with support walls, reinforcement ribs and anchoring formations so that these can withstand ground and water pressure. The trough does not extend or scarcely so above street level. The roof of the trough is provided with a publically accessible buffer zone in which the entrances and exits of the non-publically accessible parking systems beneath it are provided.
