PURPOSE:To reduce working time, to improve safety and to prevent the failure of the bearing of a stirrer disposed in a furnace by enabling the automatic mounting and dismounting of a cover body and attaching and detaching of the shaft of said stirrer to and from a revolving shaft to be provided on the outside of the furnace. CONSTITUTION:A cover body 11 which closes the opening 10 at the top end of a furnace 3 is designed to be lifted upward by a traction device 18, and the shaft 9 of a stirrer disposed in the furnace is made attachable and detachable to and from a revolving shaft 20 by means of a coupling 21. The device 18 and the shaft 20 are further supported with an arm 15 which is swivelable in a horizontal direction. More specifically, the device 18 and the shaft 20 to transmit rotating power to the shaft 9 are provided; therefore the opening and closing of the cover and the charging and discharging of the material to be treated are easily accomplished and the shaft 20 is made attachable and detachable to and from the shaft 9 automatically and surely by using the coupling 21, whereby the operation time is reduced and safety is improved. Since the shaft 20 and the shaft 9 are engaged with each other without using any bolt, the bearing of the shaft 9 is kept free from damage. |
