PURPOSE:To enhance sharpness of a color image, its reproducibility, etc., by adding to a color photographic sensitive material a specified coupler capable of releasing a development inhibitor on reacting with the oxidation product of a developing agent. CONSTITUTION:The objective silver halide color photographic sensitive material is obtained by adding to a silver halide emulsion layer as least one of couplers represented by formulae I -IV in which A is a coupler residue; R1 is H, halogen, alkyl, alkenyl, aralkyl, alkoxy, alkoxycarbonyl, anilino, acylamino, ureido, or the like; R2 is H, alkyl, alkenyl, aralkyl, cycloalkyl, or the like; Z is benzotriazole or a hetero ring having thio; L is a divalent group having a bond released in a color developing bath; Y is optionally substd. 1-10C alkyl or alkenyl or cycloalkyl, or the like; k is 0 or 1; n, m is 1 or 2; l is 1 or 2. |
