PURPOSE:To provide a hood which withstands long-term use by embedding a surface member made of a resin in the recess of a hood body made of an aluminum alloy formed with ruggedness on the surface and applying noble metal plating on the aluminum alloy. CONSTITUTION:A hood body 2 is made into an arced barlike shape, which is penetrated with holes 2b, 2c at both ends. These holes are for passing the screws or pins which mount the body 2 to the other structural part of the spectacle frame. The body 2 has an inverted U sectional shape, and the surface part except the part packed with a surface member 3 of an epoxy resin is applied with pinhole-less noble metal plating. The recess 2a of the body 2 is roughened beforehand by sandblasting or the like to make the adhesion to the recess 2a of the member 3 sure. The member 3 pakced in the recess 2a is made of an epoxy resin and is so formed as to show various tints with suitable coloring agents. |
