PURPOSE:To convert a character, sign etc. into optional codes in a code conversion process, by providing the titled device with a code conversion table and an auxiliary conversion table to refer both the tables at the time of conversion. CONSTITUTION:A registration mode is previously set up by a conversion code registration controlling part 8, a conversion code is inputted by a light pen 5 and registered in the auxiliary conversion table (TB) part 9, then a conversion mode is set up by the control part 8. When the pen 5 is pressed on a character board 1, the ''kanji'' (Chinese character) code of X, Y addresses of a position on which scanning is stopped is outputted from a code generating part 3 and sent to the TB part 9 and a conversion TB part 6. The TB part 6 sends the conversion code corresponding to the inputted ''kanji'' code to a switching controlling part 10. In the TB part 9, whether the code corresponding to the inputted ''kanji'' code is registered or not is checked, and when not registered, an invalid code is sent to the control part 10. Receiving the invalid code, the control part 10 sends the code from the TB 6 to an output part 7. When the inputted ''kanji'' code is registered, the control part 10 outputs the conversion code from the TB 9. |
