PURPOSE:To discriminate accurately an address code even in a high-speed reproduction mode, by changing the number of bits which are compared by a comparator in response to the reproducing speed and therefore securing a double reading system. CONSTITUTION:An address code signal is read twice in a normal reproduction mode (constant speed), and these two signals are compared with each other to decide the coincidence or discordance. Then the address code signal is stored in a code signal register 22 only when the coincidence of comparison is obtained, and the order is decided for the recording line which is under reproduction. When no coincidence is obtained from the double reading, the contents of a temporary register 16 are newly shifted to a buffer register 19. Then a comparison is performed when the address code signal to be reproduced next is read out. Thus an address is obtained by processing the remaining address code signals even through the address code signal of a recording line is not reproduced due to the flaws or dust. |
