发明名称 METHOD FOR PRODUCING JOINED BODY OF ION EXCHANGE MEMBRANE AND CATALYTIC ELECTRODE
摘要 PURPOSE:To produce a titled joined body having high joint strength and catalytic activity, by forming a uniform thin layer of a catalytic metal on the surface of an ion exchange membrane by an adsorptive reduction method and depositing the catalytic metal further thereon by an osmosis method. CONSTITUTION:An aq. soln. of a metallic compd. is impregnated in an ion exchange membrane to substitute the hydrogen ions in the exchange membrane with metallic ions or metallic complex ions. After the membrane is washed once, the membrane is treated with a soln. of reducing agent to form about 1-2mu catalyst-deposited layer on the surface of the exchange membrane. An aq. soln. of the metallic compd. is disposed on one surface side of the exchange membrane, and the soln. of reducing agent is penetrated from the other side to deposit the catalytic metal further on the exchange membrane surface on the side of the metallic compd. soln. The adsorptive reduction method and the osmosis method are combined in the above-mentioned way, whereby the secure and uniform deposition of the catalytic metal in the former and the formation of the catalyst layer having high activity at a moderate thickness in the latter are combined.
