PURPOSE:To form a ferromagnetic field and to ensure the highly efficient drying in said magnetic field, by making a web travel through a magnetic field formed by >=2 pairs of counter magnetic poles of different polarities which are set with a proper gap and in the traveling direction of the web and at the same time feeding the dry wind through the gap between the counter magnetic poles to perform the orientation of a magnetic layer as well as to complete substantially the drying of the magnetic layer in said magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:The >=2 pairs of counter magnetic poles 1/1', 2/2'-N/N' of different polarities are arranged with proper gaps c1, c2-cn in the traveling direction of a web 11. Then the undried web 11 coated with a magnetic liquid is made travel toward an arrow mark and in a ferror magnetic field formed between magnetic poles 1, a2-an of different polarities and gaps b1, b2-bu respectively. The magnetic matter in a magnetic layer is orientated in a direction vertical to the surface of the web 11 by the function of the magnetic field and while the web 11 is traveling. In this case, the dry wind 21 is supplied through the gaps c1, c2- between the magnetic poles to dry the web 11. In such a way, the orientation is carried out by a ferromagnetic process, and at the same time the drying process completes for the web 11 while the web 11 is within the magnetic field. |
