PURPOSE:To reduce the number of character patterns and to composite ''kanji'' (Chinese characters) which can not be read, by selecting all the character patterns of a ''kanji'' by sight and selecting character patterns at the minimum frequency of selection to compose one ''kanji''. CONSTITUTION:The unit of character patterns is inputted from a keyboard in accordance with the specification of a frequency specifying device 22 at the specification mode of a mode set 21. A storage device 26 converts the inputted character pattern unit into a character pattern unit code corresponding to the input unit as a composite character pattern code. A comparator 23 compares the composite character pattern code and a ''kanji'' code with the contents of a storage device 24, and when a non-''kanji'' area is detected, leads the detected area into a memory 27 as one input setting and outputs it to a ''kanji'' processor. When a ''kanji'' area is detected, the comparator 23 outputs the detected area to a storage device 25 to form a new composite character pattern code at the specified frequency of input. A corresponding ''kanji'' code is led from the storage device 24 to the memory 27 and the ''kanji'' code at a mode consistent with internal mode display 28 is outputted to a ''kanji'' processor. |
