PURPOSE:To decrease the generation of the linear spills in a product considerably by bringing moving beams and stationary beams downward down to a lower limit position just prior to discharging of a slab, heating the slab so as to sag the projecting parts thereof and to flatten the slab then discharging the slab. CONSTITUTION:A slab 3 is waved if stationary beams 2 are fixed in an upper limit position and the slab 3 is heated during advancing while moving beams 1 are moved upward, forwared, downward and backward as in the prior art. The beams 2 on the discharge side are constituted movably upward and downward without fixing the same, and the beams 2 are moved downward down to the lower limit position of the beams 1 just prior to discharging of the slab. Therefore, the temp. on the bottom surface of the slab 3 increases and the respective projecting parts of the slab 3 sag on the beams 2, then the slab 3 flattens. When the slab 3 flattens, the slab 3 is discharged from the discharge hole of the furnace as in the prior art. |
