PURPOSE:To transmit data at a speed suitable for a system, by providing a receiver with a counter to count up the time from the reception of transmitted data to the output of a response signal so as to change the set value of the counter on the receiver side. CONSTITUTION:Before starting data transmission, an initial value is set up in a counter 501 from a receiver controlling part through a signal line 502. When a signal 402 is outputted, a signal 505 is turned to the high level through a counter control 504. In synchronization with a clock signal 506 from the receiver controlling part, the counter 501 counts down the set initial value. When the initial value is reduced down to ''0'', the counter 501 sends a signal 407 to a control part 405. Simultaneously, a control part 504 turns the signal 505 to the low level and stops the counting of the counter 501 and the output of the signal 407 to restore the initial value. |
