PURPOSE:To enable a dresser to be used for a long time even if a diamond sintering body is worn, by embedding the whole diamond sintering body connected to sintered hard alloy except for an end face into a steel shank through a soldering material. CONSTITUTION:A diamond sintering body 4 is connected to a sintered hard alloy 5 to be embedded in a steel shank 6 by the use of a soldering material 7. Since heat produced by dressing is conducted through the sintered hard alloy 5 and soldering material 7, the temperature rise of the diamond sintering body is restrained to lessen the degradation of said sintering body caused by the temperature rise without tapering a grinding wheel. Thus, even if the diamond sintering body is worn in the dressing, a number of edges of diamond particles are exposed since the diamond sintering body is a polycrystalline substance, so that the performance is not so much degradated as a single crystal. |
