PURPOSE:To aim at the improvement in reliability without use of any pressure source of hydraulic pressure, besides serving as a braking system to a rectilinear motion, by installing valves into a part of closed-loop passages, while making a slide so as to be effectively braked by blocking up these valves. CONSTITUTION:A piston 2 slides in a cylinder 1. One end of a rod 3 is hinged by the piston 2 while the other end supports a slider 6 or a tool rest. This slider 6 is supported by bearings 7 and supports a ball screw 8 driven by a driving machine 9. A pipe 4 is interconnected to both ends of a cylinder 1 and an on-off type solenoid valve 5 and a variable type flow regulating valve 5' are inserted into this pipe 4. When a motor 9 stops, the slider 6 tends to move to the left downward with dead load of its own. When the valve 5 is blocked up, the piston 2 is forbidden to move while the slider 6 is braked, opening the valve 5, and the slider 6 can be properly moved by the opening of the valve 5'. |
