PURPOSE:To prevent the break or crack on the rear face of a workpiece at the completion of work while to shorten the work time, by employing a tool having a spiral groove in the side face at the tip of a hone. CONSTITUTION:A straight shunk drill is employed as a tool 6 to be fixed at the tip of hone for transmitting the vibration from a supersonic wave generator. Abrasive is circulated through a spiral groove 7 made in the side face of said tool 6 to feed new abrasive continuously to the work face, thereby the vibration of a worker will never be transmitted directly to the workpiece on completion of work to prevent the break, crack, etc. on the rear face. Since new abrasive is fed continuously during work, the working speed drop control in the way of work or up-down motion of tool for feeding new abrasive are not required resulting in the shortening of work time. |
