PURPOSE:To prevent an excessive tension from being generated in a recording paper between a feed roller and a press roller, by intermittently providing a friction clutch between the rollers. CONSTITUTION:A platen 11 is intermittently rotated in the direction of an arrow A by a drive source 17 to sequentially feed out the recording paper 16. The feed roller 13 is connected to a drive source 19 through the friction clutch 18 and is rotated in the direction of an arrow B. The press roller 14 pressing against the roller is rotated in the direction of an arrow C through gears 22, 23 and the clutch 18. A carbon paper 15 and the recording paper 16 can be fed while applying tensions thereto, by setting the circumferential velocity of the platen 19 to be smaller than those of the rollers 13, 14 and setting a frictional torque Tc on the clutch 18 at an appropriate value. The tensions are controlled by the clutch 18, and when an excessive tension is applied to the recording paper 16, a sliding occurs at the clutch 18 so that the excessive tension does not act thereto. |
