PURPOSE:To improve cleaning performance and to prolong the lifes of a lubricous blade material which contains a lubricous material and an image carrier, by using the composite blade consisting of the lubricous blade material and an elastic member. CONSTITUTION:The elastic member 4 consists of natural rubber, synthetic resin such as ''Teflon'', and synthetic rubber such as polyurethane rubber, silicone rubber, and neoprene, or a thin plate of phosphor bronze, etc. The lubricous blade material 3 is <=3mm. and preferably <=2mm. thick. The blade material 3 is formed by centrifugal casting while one of a silicone oil, silane coupling agent, molybdenum disulfide, fluororesin, talc, etc., is mixed as a lubricous material with the polyurethane rubber. Said members 3 and 4 are made into one to form the cleaning blade 2, which has remarkably improved wear resistance, lubricity, and cleaning performance and also provides excellent pictures semipermanently even when used repeatedly. |
