PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform switching and display of a computed distance and the distance to the destination, by counting the running distance by two counters which perform up and down counting, and selectively displaying the result. CONSTITUTION:The running pluses of a vehicle from a vehicle sensor 1 and a waveform shaping circuit 2 are up and down counted by an up counter 3 and a down counter 4. A preset value is set in the down counter 4 by a keyboard 5, a memory 6, and the like. A selector 8 is controlled by flip flop FF2 and FF3 and switches SW3 and SW4 in a display selection and command circuit 10. The selector 8 selects one of the outputs of the counter 3 and the counter 4, and makes a display device 9 display either a computed running distance or the distance to the destination. When the counted value of the counter 4 becomes zero, the flip flop FF2 is reset by a comparator 7, and the output of the counter 3 is automatically selected. Thus the computed distance and the distance to the destination can be selectively switched and displayed. |
