The switch is intended to produce low sparking. It has two housings, insertable into each other, which contain contacts (5,6) touching each other, when the housings are slid into each other. A contact (5) in the first housing is enclosed in a third housing (21) as a protection against dangerous touching. This third housing has a slot (23), open towards the contact (6) in the second housing (8). The slot forming edges (22) are flexible and at a smaller spacing than the thickness of the contact in the second housing. The trim sections of the third housing are preferably dished, as they are touched by the second housing contact when the first two housings are pushed together. The first housing aperture, receiving the second housing, may be rectanqular. The contact in the second housing may be a tongue for connecting two parts of the first housing contact.
