PURPOSE:To prevent water droplets from being discharged outside and to prevent workers and facilities, etc. from being polluted by allowing an exhaust gas outlet pipe to penetrate an exhaust gas inlet pipe. CONSTITUTION:Exhaust gas from an internal-combustion engine containing vapor and water droplets first flows from an exhaust gas inlet pipe 21 through samll holes 25 of an expanded end portion 22 into the inner expanded chamber 24, where noises are muffled. Next, it is discharged outside from an exhaust gas outlet pipe 27 through small holes 28. At this time, the exhaust gas heats the exhaust gas outlet pipe 27 at the expanded end portion 22 and is blown out into the inner expanded chamber 24 through small holes 25, thus hitting the inner wall surface of said chamber 24. Most of the water droplets in the exhaust gas drop along the inner wall surface and are discharged through a drain passage 26. In addition, part of vapor is also cooled into water droplets, which are discharged through the drain passage 26. |
