PURPOSE:To enhance the effect of pressing folds by simple and uncostly construction by vertically moving the table level intermittently and by furnishing a pressing plate, equipped with a fillet to press the swelling of fold, in the neighborhood of folds of the sheets to be laid on the table in folded state. CONSTITUTION:In the neighborhood of folds of the sheets 4 to be laid on the table 3 in folded state, a pressing plate 11 is arranged equipped with two or more dangling fillets 10 and fixed upon inserting in a mount hole 13 excavated in a partition plate 12. The oversurface of the sheets 4 on the table 3 is sensed by a photosensor 8 or the like, and the table 3 is moved vertically, so as to retain the oversurface constant, by putting a motor 17 in operation with a table position control circuit 15 and a motor drive circuit 16. Thereby the folds of sheets 4 are put in contact with the pressing plate 11 to flatten the swelling due to folds. According to this arrangement, folds of sheets 4 can be pressed effectively with a simple and uncostly construction, which assures an effective operation of folding work of the sheets 4. |
