PURPOSE:To reduce the length of the end portion of a sheet wound on a winding tube by gripping one end of the sheet after winding the end of the sheet cut by a cutter on the winding tube by means of winding tool, and pulling said sheet under this condition. CONSTITUTION:In winding a sheet 3 on a winding tube 2, winding rollers 1 are stopped after placing the sheet 3 on the upper surfaces of a pair of the winding rollers 1, to be turned, and then a pair of pinch rollers 8 are driven to grip the sheet 3. Then, after cutting the sheet 3 with a cutter 4, a winding tube 2 is supplied onto the sheet 3 between the rollers 1 from a feeder 5. Then, after winding the end portion 6 of the sheet 3 around the winding tube 2 by the agency of a winding tool 7, a touch roller 11 is moved downward to hole the winding tube 2 and a pulling roller 9 is moved downward to pull the sheet so that the length of the end portion 6 of the sheet is reduced. Then, the sheet 3 is wound up on the winding tube 2 with the end portion 6 of the sheet held by a pressing member 10. |
