PURPOSE:To obtain an optical multiplex signal switching device for optical communication network with a simple constitution. CONSTITUTION:Plural optical multiplex signals 1 are supplied to spectroscopes 1'1-n'1 of 1:1 correspondence, and the output of the spectroscope corresponding to the multiplex degree l is supplied to optical-electric (O/E) converters 1'11- 1'1l and 2'11-n'1l of each l units corresponding to the spectroscopes respectively. The output of each O/E converter is fed to a switching matrix of an optional scale. Then an electric signal gated optionally is delivered from the switching matrix. Electric-optical (E/O) converters 1'21-1'2l and m'21-m'2l having 1:1 correspondence are connected to the output of each electric signal. The optical signal outputs given from the E/O converters are collected in m' units of l units of groups. Then a light wavelength split multiplex signal of lmultiplication is obtained by m' units of end face optical synthesizers of linput and 1 output. |
