PURPOSE:To allow the sliding by expansion or shrinkage of tanks for widening the supporting area of the tanks by a method in which a valley-shaped groove by inclined bottom plates is formed on each bottom of left and right-handed side tanks, and the inclined bottom plates on the sides are supported through a supporting material on the ship's bottom. CONSTITUTION:In a ship, port and starboard side tanks are formed by dividing the inside of an independent tank into two sections by a vertical bulkhead 1a, and a valley-shaped groove 3 fromed by the port and starboard sides inclined bottom plates is provided on each bottom of the both side tanks. The grooves 3 are positioned on the center line side of the hull from the centers of the left and right-handed side tanks, and the inclined bottom plate 2 on the side among the both sides inclined bottom plates is supported on the ship's bottom through supporting parts 4 and 5. Thus, the supporting area can be sufficiently widened by making a sufficient allowance for sliding due to the expansion and shrinkage of the tanks. |
