DESULFURIZATION OF WASTE GAS

PURPOSE:To attain to reduce desulfurization cost, in desulfurizing a waste gas, by using soda slag as a desulfurizing absorbent to carry out desulfurization according to a wet process. CONSTITUTION:Soda slag 1 is comminuted by a crusher 2 to be thrown into a mixing tank 3 and mixed with water 4 to form a mixed slurry. This slurry is supplied to a desulfurizing liquid conditioning tank 7 through a coarse particle separating apparatus 5 to carry out the conditioning of the slurry by replenished water 8 and the conditioned slurry is supplied to an absorbing tower liquid tank 10. In the next step, said slurry is supplied to the upper part of an absorbing tower 12 as a desulfurizing liquid while a waste gas 13 is introduced into the absorbing tower 12 to carry out absorbing operation. The liquid after treatment is introduced into a solid-liquid separation tank 15 through the absorbing tower liquid tank 10. By this method, soda slag 1 can be availably utilized and desulfurizing treatment is carried out at low cost.
