PURPOSE:To correct center misregistration between an intermediate tray and a transport path by constructing racks of both side registration plates of the intermediate tray in such a manner as to engage and disengage with and from a common pinion. CONSTITUTION:The interval between registration plates 14, 15 disposed on an intermediate tray is reduced and enlarged by racks 16, 17 fixed to the registration plates 14, 15, respectively and a common pinion 18 to correct right and left center misregistration of a copy sheet. In the case where the center X of the intermediate tray is shifted at the distance DELTAZ from the center Y of the transport path, one rack is disengaged from the pinion by a solenoid 21 (22), and only the other rack is engaged with the pinion, so that one side registration plate is moved double the distance DELTAZ in the opposite direction to the shifting direction of the intermediate tray. One rack is again engaged with the pinion, and the pinion is turned to align the working center of the registration plates with the center of the transport path. |
