To create pulses of a defined length in time for a driving device for a semiconductor controller by means of a capacitor (3) which is connected, on the one hand, to a binary logic element (1), to which trigger pulses are applied, and, on the other hand, to the base connection of a transistor (4), a current source (5) is used which feeds a current (Iq) into the junction between the capacitor (3) and the base connection of the transistor (4). With an adjustable monostable flip flop of such construction, the delay time can be directly adjusted in a simple manner via the current supplied by the current source (5), with very little recovery time and only one necessary low supply voltage. <IMAGE>
