In order to achieve, in the case of a device for fastening and connecting articles of any type, comprising a slotted screw and a screwdriver whose blade can be inserted in a manner that fits into the end-face slot of the screw, exactly central, coaxial alignment of the screwdriver blade with respect to the slot of the screw, it is proposed that the slot (4) of the slotted head screw (1) has centrally a widened portion (5) and the blade (3) of the associated screwdriver (2) has centrally, on its end face, a thickened portion (5) capable of being inserted at least approximately positively into the widened portion (5) of the slot (4). <IMAGE>
